Fridays, June 12 – August 28

Grace UMC Fellowship Hall

The Warming Center is going to be a Cooling Center This Summer! Grace United Methodist Church has graciously opened their doors to allow the Warming Center to host a midday lunch each Friday from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM for our unhoused neighbors. This will give people a place to get out of the heat, enjoy a meal, and spend time in community.

You can sign up to provide a meal or to volunteer to help serve lunch, clean up, and hang out with guests! Make a volunteer account with the Cape Warming Center to get started!

Sunday, June 14

10:00 AM – 7:00 PM

One thing we highly value at Compass Church is showing up in the community and creating space for more people to encounter God’s love wherever we go. So will be hosting a booth at Pride in the Park! We are looking for someone to help coordinate set-up and volunteers for the booth, so if you’d like to help out, let us know: info@compasscg.org.

Following Service

We are launching a youth program for kids 5th grade and up! On June 14, youth are invited to come hangout during service in the youth room and spend some time getting to know each other.

Following service, youth and their parents are invited to lunch in the fellowship hall! We’ll get to talk about what the youth program will look like going forward.

If you have kiddos in 5th grade or up, you won’t want to miss this! RSVP to let us know you’ll be there and share any dietary needs!

Starts Sunday, June 14

9:30 AM, in the Youth Room

For 6 weeks, we’ll be working through Simon Peter: Flawed But Faithful Disciple by Adam Hamilton. Compass will provide the books!

Peter left everything to follow his teacher and possessed a passion that would change the world. That’s one way to describe Peter. Here’s another: poor, uneducated, quick-tempered, and full of doubts and fears. Doesn’t even sound like the same man.

And that’s the point of Simon Peter, a new book and six-week adult Bible study by Adam Hamilton. Peter was just an ordinary guy who heard and followed God’s extraordinary call. Discover how you, too, have special gifts, talents, and abilities that God can use to make a difference today.

Tuesday, June 23
