Worship Without Walls

SUNDAY, SEPT 6

For the first Sunday in September, we’ll be taking worship outside the walls of the church to serve our community! We’ll have various service projects going across Cape during our usual worship time.

Not into church? That’s okay.

Everyone is welcome to serve alongside us in the community, whether you’re religious, skeptical, spiritual, atheist, connected to a church, or not at all. Check out the projects below and sign-up!

Thank You For Serving!

If you’d like to find out more about the area you served in, some of the organizations we partnered with today were The SEMO Foodbank, United Methodist Committee of Relief, SEMO Pets, and The Baptist Student Center. These are all organizations you can volunteer with on your own!

We hope today inspired you to look for ways you can serve the community and pay attention to the needs around you. You don’t always have to serve with Compass Church, but if you’d like to, join our Mission Group!

PROJECTS

What: Youth and Kids are invited to volunteer for an afternoon at SEMO Pets! There will be various stations such as: dog bathing, dog walking, play yard, socializing, and making enrichment! DIVE DEEPER

Worship Without Walls by Omokhai Imoukhuede is a 7 day devotional about taking worship into our daily lives.

There are many ways to worship beyond the singing we do in service together. And while that form of worship is beautiful and meaningful, we’re missing out if that’s our only form of worship. We can, and arguably should, worship throughout the mundane, the difficult, and even the spectacular moments of our lives.

Compass Church is featuring this devotional on our page in the Bible app (YouVersion). Follow along with us to open up new ways to worship throughout your week!
