Worship Without Walls

SUNDAY, MAY 31

Thank You For Serving!

If you’d like to find out more about the area you served in, some of the organizations we partnered with today were The SEMO Food Bank, Kairos Prison Ministry, Street Level, and South Side Farms. These are all organizations you can volunteer with on your own!

We hope today inspired you to look for ways you can serve the community and pay attention to the needs around you. You don’t always have to serve with Compass Church, but if you’d like to, join our Mission Group!

DIVE DEEPER

Helping Without Hurting is a 10 day devotional about how God calls us to serve others.

“The gospel is not good news of personal salvation and a call to individual piety or holiness. It is a proclamation and call to demonstrate God’s kingdom work to the world… We are called to bring Christ’s reconciling work to bear on all the effects of sin on individuals and social systems. We seek a Christ-centered, fully orbed, kingdom perspective on what poverty alleviation entails.”

-excerpt from Day 3

We are called to serve, love others, and pursue justice and mercy, but sometimes good intentions hurt more than they help. We’d love for everyone to follow this devotional so that we can all help without hurting.
